You did not mention what book you used. In my experiments Fruit's results vary tremendously depending on the book used. Fruit has best results in my case with Fritz in Bahrain book. That book was tailored to Kramnik's style of play. I think soon you will see good Fruit books coming out as thousands of games are used to play other software on icc and playchess to weed out openings that it doesn't like.
