Good to hear that XP Pro 64 edition will support two CPU's, regardless of the
number of processors in each CPU. I'd sure avoid the "home" edition of XP.

Have you compared the price tag of X64 and opteron's running at the same speed?

I've heard the difference is substantial, running into the hundreds of dollars.
If you're getting this for a server, that could make good sense. Otherwise, I'd
re-think the bucks. Maybe use it for a back-up drive, or a separate EGTB drive.
That would cut out a LOT of wear and tear on the ol' HD if you run a lot of
chess programs or heaven forbid, tournaments.

So what is this beastie going to be used for?

Dave
