Hi all, CEGT New Versions 2 is finished. Glaurung Mainz won, followed by Jonny 2.82, Naum 1.8, Pharaon 3.3 and WildCat 5. http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/tabellen/2nvges.htm It should have been a longer tournament like the first one, but due to interesting new releases like Spike 1.0 Mainz we simply started a new one, mainly with the same engines. First results are already available. http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/newver.htm Two from the testers in CEGT like to have also Toga in. Here are interim results from a Toga II 1.0 test by Michael Koppel: http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/tabellen/tomi.htm So all started well until Toga surprisingly lost a 20 games match against Glaurung. Only 200 games in the ratinglist up to now and due to huge error bars it is impossible to say at this point if it is better or worse than Fruit 2.1. So check the ratinglist from time to time. It is currently updated almost daily and includes more than 30 000 games 40/40 (2Ghz) by now: http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/rangliste.html A first download for 2500 August games (without comments) is also available: http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/downloads.htm It includes City Grand Prix, Fantasy Party, New Versions 2 and 3, matches from Michael, tournament from Rainer and a few more.
