If you want to know about all the conventional algorithms, better read this paper first http://www.brucemoreland.com. But if you want to do the whole thing by yourself,don't look at it. The only program i know who does the later is Symbolic. The rest 200+ does alpha-beta,null-move etc choice is yours. daniel
