[D]2r2k2/5pp1/1p1p1q1p/p1rRpP2/2PbP3/PP4P1/3QB1KP/2R5 b - - Zappa played 27. .. Ke7, which looks funny, but is not bad. In fact, against Deep Sjeng (and countless other programs) it is the winning move. Like a red lap against a bull, Deep Sjeng replied with b4?? which is losing. Black's king looks exposed in the center but is in reality unassainable, instead *white* must be careful. Zappa must have seen it because the score went up immediately after b4. White can at least draw with 28. a4. Your mission is: avoid 28. b4 [D]3k4/6p1/3p1pP1/4pP2/3bP2q/r2B1Q1p/7P/3R3K w - - 49. Rb1 loses instantly because after Rc3, white is in zugzwang! Deep Sjeng could not avoid it because of that. Can your program (and does it understand what is happening)? -- GCP
