I personaly use ChessGenius ( http://www.chessgenius.com/ ) on my SE P800 and is
very happy with it.
I don't play at work but rather when I wait in the car for my wife to finish
shoping, you get the game started fast and it even remeber the position so you
can close it down a proceed with the game sometime later.
If your phone isn't among the phones CG support you can always install a java
chessprogram. With a search, you will find even free (to use) programs. One that
comes to mind is Lokasoft's mobchess (
http://www.lokasoft.com/mobile_chesspartner ).
