Im not too worried how the pieces themselves look, just how the screen is looks overall. The LCD on that little excalibur unit is circa 1985 and it shows! LOL I don't know maybe I have one that has a bad LCD or something, never know since I've never seen another one. That link you posted, I like the touch chess idea, but I don't really need the talking. I did some research since my first post and found a few of those touch chess machines but none had a pic of the screen while powered on. Thanks guys for your help I really appreciate it.
