OK, you understood me absolutely wrong: Windows WILL recognize more than 2 cpu's, depending on the version of Windows you use. Your software can NOT use computer resources without using the operating system! It's a chess program, and it doesn't carry an OS around in it's "back pocket". <grin> Dave
