However, Zappa gives a mate in 30 within 10 seconds. Spike 10 announces mate in 28 within 90 sec, but the mate goes up to 43 in 1:54. Toga2 gives a score of 5.3 in 12 sec. The score goes up! SOS 5.1 gives a mate in 18 in 23 sec. Huh! Why are some programs so good at this position and others take so long? It cannot only be a null move issue. Kind regards Bernhard
