Any neutral public tournament _cannot_ be played with such a flawed interface. So it's one of the most interesting aspects of WBEC tournament to be played under old WB interface. Everybody is sure that this is perfectly neutral. I repeat my question. How can anybody think that the most important company in this business, established for years and decades, cannot have a way for its engines to play with such established open protocols as winboard and UCI (even though they would never give public access to these features due to commercial reasons) ??? They are not there because they are frightened. They are frightened because their honeymoon with shredder is vanishing, because their top product (Fritz) is no more able to compete and because their last performing prog (junior) which was still world champion one year ago was on the verge of being in the second half of the group at WCCC after being crushed by all top-performers. So Mig Greengard tells us that the human touch in fritz9 is revolutionary. I would say instead that 3D boards are very well produced .. Marc
