I was just looking in the internet archive at how chessbase.com used to look - http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.chessbase.com I thought it interesting that chessbase's current demo for their flagship chessbase program, i.e. chessbase light, was downloadable in 0ctober 1997 - that's 8 years old !!! - whilst chessbase 6, on which it is based, is mentioned in the first archive entry from 1996! Time for an update, chessbase ? I'd be interested if anyone could suggest other sites to look up in the archive from which it might be possible to download old demo programs? James
