Hi,

there are several pruning techniques for Q-Search. I do not think that simply
limiting depth is a good pruning technique. It may be better than nothing if you
have no one else.

The best two pruning techniques for Q-Search I know of are:

1. SEE-Pruning
2. Kind of futility pruning, not capturing a piece if its material is not enough
to get you back to the search window.

For me a combination of both works, not capturing a piece if its SEE-Value is
not enough to get you back to the search window.

Greetings Volker
