Dan makes some changes to the code as well for epd files and fen positions I think. Maybe that does something to the final build. I know Bryan used to remove the epd support to gain a speed edge, but I don't know if he still does that. I worked very hard to find the best set of compile options for Crafty with the VS Studio 2005 Beta 2 compiler. All I know if of all the builds, mine is the fastest on my system and many have reported the same regarding their systems. And it shows.. the number of downloads from my site in 7 days is staggering. If you look at those numbers from the site you have to remember that I also switched from PHP-Nuke 7.8 to 7.6 and had to reset all the stats. So the numbers are even larger. 19.20 for instance had almost 250 downloads the first day it was released, and then I switched the version number.... Peter
