thorsten,

just a short question. tell me please what this confrontation should be good for
between long-time established programs like FRITZ from ChessBase with ALL its
nice features for the active chessplayers, above all its very nice and helpful
possibility to integrate thousands of commentary and analysing moves in a single
(!!) game notation - AND on the other side very strong chess engines like
RUFFIAN or ZAPPA or FRUIT - which give nothing special for the active
chessplayers?

I see your attempt to favour a balanced situation without a monopolist, but what
should the active users in chess (chess and NOT only testing engines between
each other!) do with these new engines which present nothing for the special
analysis of chess positions?

If you cannot close this open question your position is still fine from a
political perspective but it has no meaning in relation to human chess. You know
too good that normal chessplayers don't have such many computers at home like
you have for your special tests.

The question goes also to all other supporters of so-called amateur attempts,
it's not a question to thorsten alone.
