Personally i find a 3D chessboard on a computer helps to see a real board when you play on one. I've no trouble playing on real boards, my 3D-gui, or 2D Gui's, you just have to vary sometimes.. Nice screenshot/board Vincent and Anthony. (the shading is nice, like the realistic shadows going over the round edges of the board.) The computerchesscommunity isn't a very enthousiastic or playfull one..A chessGui has to be more boring and less artistic then Wordpad, otherwise you can't be taken serious as chessplayer. Or something like that. (luckily there is a huge computergamecommunity and casual chessplayer-world outside of the CCC-forum. ) Stan
