The Colorado Closed was a debacle - after I smashed the co-favourite he withdrew from the tournament. Then another player who had also beaten this guy got re-paired and received an extra black and he also withdrew (after beating me in round 4) Although I still felt I could win the tournament (my last 3 rounds were people who I had beaten last year) I had to withdraw in protest as my loss counted and my main rivals got two free points, plus could play less games and be less tired. thanks for your concern Karinsdad!
