Notice that this shows that this 'environment' is not good for chess.  IE the
only way to get a log/game file for each move is if the game is restarted after
each move, which is how the 'broken' winboard adapter seems to work...  ie after
each move it does 'new' and then sends over all the moves in the game to this
point...  breaking the move-to-move continuity normally passed thru the hash
table and other data structures...

this noticably weakens _any_ program that operates like this.
