Subject: Why cant Zappa, Diep etc implement as Shredder did? Fritz too ftm.

I don't want to get drawn into the enormously long Zappa gui debate, but I was
wondering why Zappa, Diep, Sjeng and even Fritz for that matter, cant implement
as Shredder did in it's latest incarnation? That is, produce your own GUI, which
is the absolute strongest version, complete with auto232 support, and then also
release a UCI version with the disclaimber that it might not be as strong as the
GUI version, if run under another GUI. Don't hobble the UCI version, just
release it as an optional program with the new GUI version and the disclaimer.
That way, everybody is happy and people like me, who enjoy playing mini
tournaments under the CB interface, and also enjoy playing two enhines against
each other on different PC's, can have the best of both worlds!!!
