I have requested chess tech support from the following:

ChessAssistant -- it was excellent
ShredderChess  -- it was excellent
ChessMaster    -- it was poor (but they did offer to give me my money back.
Eventually, I solved the problem myself)
Lokasoft (several times) -- it was excellent on each occasion
ChessGenius    -- it was fair (the answer was "you can't do that")

I have also gotten technical support from the Arena folks, which cost me
nothing.
