Nice post, Peter. Friendly and sympathetic. However, I would like to emphasize
two things:

GCP posted his now already infamous piece about all users of UCI engines being
hypocrites... stating, among other rather fuzzy reasons, the already vacuous
arguments about the cheating ChessBase interface that does not allow fair-play
against the native engines such as Fritz, Junior etc.

GCP simply insulted people by calling them hypocrites for no reason at all as
they were mainly voicing their preferences as potential buyers of the
forthcoming Zappa 2.0, and he used a bogus argument about the treacherous CB
interface.

The CB argument is bogus because there is a UCI engine that beats most, if not
all, current CB native engines. That UCI engine is Fruit / Toga by Fabien
Letouzey (modified by T. Gaksch).

I hate being called a hypocrite, and so do all other people who merely wanted to
make some useful suggestions. I also hate hearing unfounded paranoid
accusations that were shown to be empty in the past here, on CCC.

Thus, I think that GCP exhibited a lot of arrogance and bumptiosness, if not
downright insolence. I also think that the majority of readers share my point
of view regarding his posting.

To a much lesser degree the postings of Anthony Cozzie exhibited some sort of
insolence, and were lacking in tact, to say the least.

I am aware that time will slowly obliterate the young men's follies and that we
will enjoy their programs in the future. Still, I feel obliged to react.

Regards,

Djordje
