I use Shredder 9 Classic to analyse my games. I've also found out that when I use Fruit 2.1 in parallel with Shredder 9 Sandro Necci (I named it that way because I used in it the settings Sandro proposed on the forum) under Triple Brain Analysis both the output and the evaluation are likely more sensible. I don't know why but SMK made recent Shredder version more aggressive and less positionally cautious; it leads to interesting but very unstable games. It's okay for OTB or engine-engine games but in correspondence chess this approach is very vulnerable. Very often Shredder's evaluation is too optimistic. However, Fruit with its cautious and accurate positional style 'cools Shredder off'. If there was a commercially available version of Fruit WCCC, I'd surely buy it for its good solid and well-grounded positional style. But there's been no information in favour of it. What do you think is going to be released sooner: Shredder 10 or Fruit WCCC, if any? It's a pity the developers are so reticent. Alex
