However, Fruit 2.1 and Toga 1.0 have been extensively tested in CEGT (http://www.husvankempen.de/nunn/rangliste.html) and so has Deep Sjeng 1.6. The results are that Fruit and Toga are approximately equal, and both clearly stronger than Deep Sjeng. However, I must say that I have not heard of Deep Sjeng 1.8, and how much it has improved since version 1.6. You can find out how these engines did against ChessMaster in the same page.
