The GUI is UCI compatible anyway, providing WB protocol support via the (third
party) Wb2uci adapter software, or even with CB's old WinBoard adapter which
isn't that bad.. the engine Jonny uses it (new version), and AFAIK also Delfi
runs fine with it, and probably some others. Of course, Wb2uci is preferable
when you have a good configuration file.

Fritz is actually the MOST COMPATIBLE chess program in the world! :)

Of course, for test matches of WB. versus UCI engines, Arena is to be preferred
because it has native support for both.

I'm curious if Zappa 2.0 will keep the WB. protocol support, because that would
mean it will inavoidably be matched against Fritz 9 and other CB. engine, in
Fritz using Wb2uci. And I'm afraid it won't win a single (long) match against
Fritz, Shredder, Hiarcs, Junior or Tiger..
