>The symptom : the LCD displays "play", it seems to communicate with the keyboard >module as a "res-res" seems to reset the module but : >1. other keys don't work >2. the moves entered on the board are not recognized either. its possible both your Munchen and Exclusive are only compatible with the 8 bit Mephisto modules some of the older Mephisto and Exclusive boards are like this the Munchen S is compatible with the 16 bit modules and the later Exclusive boards are also when Mephisto first switched over the boards you would see an Exclusive S..which indicated it could be used for 8 and 16 bit modules soon after Mephisto dropped the S marking for the Exclusive but the boards were all compatible after this date they always kept the S for the Munchen let me ask you can you play other 16 bit modules in your boards and the problem is only with the Roma or only 8 bit modules?
