Kurt,

I think that you see now much more than before the 444.

It was a general opinion that Tigran Petrosian was able to see was able to
see tactics that nobody could. He was proud of a game with a 23 move
combination(!). And Tal commented in his Book "Life and Games" that Petrosian
decided once to Take Risk at one 1959 USSR championship and Won much more games
and the Tournament.

If Petrosian had put more risk in his games he could have won
much more games. But he saw too much and believing that the opponent was not
going to "miss" the better move then he did prophylactic moves to avoid the
opponents plans.
