Steve,

I don't recall seeing this happen before, but it could be that the increment
between bids, at this level, is $20 and when he placed the last bid, eBay
applied the increment from the previous highest bid from *somebody else*.  I
think he would have won it at 1150 if he had not placed that final bid.

Still Seems Strange Though Regards,
