This is an unanswerable question. Strategy and tactics are not the same thing. Strategy is what you want to do and tactics is how you do it. I agree that tactics are everything in the sense that any strategy or positional plan is only as good as the tactical implementation. There was a time when strong human players beat the best programs because they made large positional or strategic mistakes. This means that they allow tactics for their opponent. Regards Tony
