You have other opportunities. There are established chess software distributors, which already have a well-known brand, and the equipment for online distribution: ChessBase, Lokasoft, Shredderchess (SMK), Chess Assistant, and probably some others. For example (1.) ChessBase distributes Shredder which is, or at least was until to now, stronger than their main engine Fritz. (2.) Shredderchess.com already distributes another program in addition to St. Meyer-Kahlen's own products: Freezer. I cannot tell how SMK thinks about it, but basically I don't see why two good chess programmers shouldn't cooperate, no matter if Zappa may - or may not - be stronger than Shredder at some types of time/comp conditions. I would assume that the distribution of a World Champion engine should be attractive for the other companies mentioned, as well. Since they all have established businesses and experience, I would expect that all this can be handled without requiring very much time from you, when you have a bugfree UCI engine available ready to be sold. Let them do the rest. Steve
