As far as I know, Fidelity >chess computers sold as well, and were just as strong as other makes. yes thats right there was no perception at the time that Fidelity made particulary poor quality chess computers and this had nothing to do with why they sold out to Mephisto of course some models were more defect prone then others(the Travel Master for example) but every manufacturer has their lemons i have 83 Fidelity computers and most were bought when first released and i think that over the years perhaps 5 or so developed defects of course as time goes on there will be even more problems but this would be due entirely to the passage of time and not to the companies quality control Steve
