I think a better test would be to use the very same program/version with one
begin run on a fast computer and the other on a slow one.
Better yet would be to artifficially delay the program (for instance in the
evaluation function calling the Sleep function for some milliseconds) so that it
would play on a fast PC at say 800 nodes per second. This way we could use two
identical machines and the very same program.
You would take any program, Fuit, Crafty, Zappa, Gnuchess whatever, I think you
would be surprised.
