Hi there !

"If you don't want me to be a moderator, don't vote for me. It is that simple."
- thought that was the general idea :D
You should be trying to convince Arturo to vote for you , and not the other way
around !!

People "running" for a "public post" (I use the terms loosely here since CCC
moderator post is not like some civil servant's post ... hmm, maybe more
powerful in our context !) are essentially in glass houses until elections are
over , so put up a smile and grin it out :)

By the way , another note - in a lot of places , unless you are really familiar
with a person , you dont use their first name : both should feel that way
(caller and the callee).
So , most people call me Muralidharan at work/official places (although actually
it is my dad's name) and only those familiar with me call me Mridul.
Personally I dont care what people call me - in a crowd , chances are I will
turn back for a call for 'Mridul' rather than 'Muralidharan' : but that is a
different matter.
Maybe Arturo was following that principle here ? Only he can say !
Point being , you may ask him to use your first name - but he must also be
comfortable with being in first name basis with you ...

All the best to all candidates for the elections , looking forward to yet
another year of kick ass moderation :)
