yes correct
the Gambit was about 1400 Elo while the CC8 was perhaps 1350

both programs by Nelson
the Gambit was also released in a version with the Voice feature

it will play a little it riskier in the opening but this might be hard to see
unless you play many games


btw.. you might find it of interest to look at this auction also for a Gambit

there you can see a nice photo of the MISSING MANUAL
auction is still open
perhaps you might want to back out of the one you just one and go for this one??
