Well, while I'm a fan of the engine by all means, I have had my own personal
doubts myself. Just my 2 cents. As to Shredder, it comes from the verb to shred
which is to cut something into many very small pieces to the point of
irrecoverable destruction. Nothing neutral about that name. On the other hand,
there are indeed other names that have nothing particularly threatening about
them, such as Junior, Hiarcs, Fritz, etc. So the whle name deal isn't really
that significant. Unless Fruit is packaged with a GUI and sold by a company with
good distributors, it won't attain large sales anyhow. It won't be the name that
is holding it back otherwise. Right now it is going commercial, sure, but how
big and who are the potential customers in the market of isolated add-on UCI
engines?
