So the 60 point improvement was due to tuning parameters? Seems hard to believe.
It implys that a person with no knowledge of programing (like me) could improve
a program thru changing parameters provided I had good technique in engine
testing. I've heard claims about improving Rebel, Chessmaster, and Shredder with
just changing parameters but got the impression that their authors did not think
it possible.
