Subject: xboard + FRC/Chess960

How do you play FRC with xboard?

I have a couple FRC engines, but from the readme files it seems you can only
play the variant mode while on a ICS. If this is really so, then is there a
small ICS server w/ source for Linux?

Seems like a lot just to be able to play FRC.
