Subject: Antique computer chess program website

I'd like to let people know of an early, prelimanry version of my antique
computer chess website.

http://classicchess.tripod.com/

Yes, I know the site is ugly. I'm not a good web designer. Also, we do have
plans on moving the site to a better location. It just hasn't happened yet.

We currently have programs such as:

Chess 0.5 - Source
Chess 4.6 - Source
Duchess - Source (& a ready to run tape image, for ibm emulators.)
Blitz - small source fragment
Checkmo-II - source
Kotok's 1962 chess program - thesis & source
Mike 1978 - source
T.Belle - 3 versions - source
Tech-II - source, slightly damaged.
Tech-II modified for Greenblatt's CHEOPS - source
Sargon - Source

And a few others.

We have several more programs coming. They just haven't arrived yet.

We are still trying to track down authors, but it just takes time. A lot of
time. And many people from back then seem to have disappeared.

If you know of an old program that should be on the list, let me know.

If you know where an author is from back then, let me know.

If you have programs from back then, let me know.

We have made some progress, but there's a lot more to do. It's just slow work.
If you'd like to help, then feel free to jump in.
