And I have a few old ones myself. And there are lots of 'warez' ones on the web. The problem is that most of them are still copyrighted. Posting them on the web is a bit of a problem. Even if it's done just to preserve some old program that has no commercial value left. In that case, about the best thing that can be done is *if* you have original media and manuals, to donate it to some place like ComputerHistory.org, so they can preserve and dispaly it. Those people are more concened with computer hardware and computer chess hardware, etc. rather than software based chess programs. But I'm sure they'd take it if you had the originals and offered it to them. It would be nice, however, if somebody made up a list of all the computer chess programs from the 70's and 80s. For all those old 8 bit micros etc. At least that way people would at least know what existed back then, even if it couldn't publicly be posted for download. But that's one of quite a few things on my list of things to do, and it's not towards the top.
