Hi Wayne,

I know of Fritz 8 versions:

8.0.0.8
8.0.0.23
8.1.1.0
8.1.2.0

The chessbase update might be thinking about your GUI being up to date.

And some of those versions are not free updates. Tho .23 might be a free update.
I am sure others will correct me if I am wrong.

If you want to keep your .22 uninstall everyting and delete the folders
specially the engine folder. then reinstall and copy the fritz 8 .22 engine to
another location then do the online update. if you get the .8 again just copy
the .22 from your beckup to the engines folder and overwrite it.
