Hi all, As I posted the following message on the winboard forum yesterday: "I noted that Ruffian 1.0.5 doesn't seem to be able to access egtb under Alex WBTM (version 1.0.0 according to "properties"), both in tournament and play mode. (at least for the KBN vs K endgame, Ruffian draw the game, instead of winning). Does anyone noticed this? Could I have forget to set some options correctly? Ruffian access egtb without problems when I use Galis. Also I tried Jonny 2.82 and Yace and they both work as well under Galis and Alex. Would you know where is (my?) the bug?" I haven't got an answer yet, any comments would be welcomed. Secondly (this happened today): While I was trying Jonny282's capabilities with the egtb (still with Alex_WBTM), I suddently received a notice from my Windows XP-pro saying (or about): no more space on your "D" drive (I installed my chess programs on my 7G "d" drive - I have a 20g hard drive partionned in 3 for some reasons..). Apparently it was Jonny282 that kept producing output for its own log file, even when it was shut down. The file kept growing and growing until it filled the drive (it grew to 2.6G!). Once I stopped the process, I tried to read the file, but it was too big (even the Recycle bin couldn't accept it), and I had to delete it permanently. Hence I got no information about what jonny282 was recording. Of course this is not a serious problem: once I deleted the jonny log file and switched off the log file option in the .ini file, everything turned OK. However, I would like to know if my hardware and/or my OS (or even my settings) are behind these two problems. Again, any hint is welcomed. If you ever happened to encounter difficulties of any sort with Alex_WBTM, I would appreciate if you share them here; I'd like to use this tourney manager (especially for swiss tourney) if it possible to overcome these kind of problems. Thank you for your time, Marc-Olivier
