Maybe you are right maybe not.
But in my opinion up to nowdays Gandalf 6.0/1 played (mostly)on:
-A slower hardwares
-Slower time controls(just SSDF but they use slower hardware)
-Ponder off
-Small hashtables
And the Conditions of the Giants 2005 Tournament are different than the above.
I think on faster hardwares ,at long time controls the ELO's of
the enines will be changed !!
