This is the relevant position
5k2/8/8/8/8/2P5/8/3K4 w - - 0 1
Kc2 is winning.
For example 1.Kc2 Ke7 2.Kb3 Kd6 3.Kb4 Kc6 4.Kc4

I think that tablebases can tell in how many moves it is a mate.
