You cannot guarentee this. What if I buy a new computer in 2015? Will your
website or company still exist? Yes? Take a 100.000 $ bet?

This is a stupid deceision. You have piracy paranoia, just like the Zappa
author. But software pirates are no threat to super expert's chess software:
They are a threat for mainstream game software only, which any idiot can use.
They cannot harm the sales of chess "engines" only experts know how to install,
and need an existing GUI for to run. Your customers will either buy or ignore
Fruit 2.2. Why care for the rest?

I certainly won't buy an engine which runs on one particular computer, or on a
limited number which require a code each, only. This is not acceptable.

Say good-bye to fruit :-)) it seemed promising but you programmers are just
incapable of proper distribution. Zappa & Fruit, big chances spoiled...
