Whatever method ChessAssistant uses, I like it a lot.  It never asks me for
anything after I have installed the products.  I do not know if they have a lot
of theft, but I wish all products could install and operate so smoothly.  The
ideal software product protects itself, but the user is totally unaware of any
intrusion.  ChessAssistant is the closest to that ideal of any chess software I
have tried.
