Lol! Weren't it for the hardware, there wouldn't be so much ado about Zappa. It's my view, though. As to Fritz 9, I've checked the games it played online but wasn't impressed with them any bit. Okay, there's some evaluation progress visible compared to Fritz Bilbao but nothing much to be declared as the "the major breakthrough". I guess, Fruit (even 2.1) plays better chess at longer time controls than Fritz. Again, nothing personal. Best wishes, Alexander
