It's your program and you can protect it as you see fit, however, and this is
just for your market research, I wont buy it, and I've always bought all my
software. I have bought probably 100 chess software titles (don't ask, it's a
sickness) over the years, and I still have most, if not all, of them.

The reason I wont buy it is that I strongly object to this type of "protection".
It prevents me from owning the copy of the software that I have purchased. With
a history of still running old, old programs, and with the history of software
companies/programmers going out of business, this means I would end up with a
coaster.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy about your choice, as it will help me stop
buying every chess program that enters the market, and that can only be a good
thing.
