Subject: Collector's Corner..Resurrection-Fruit 05 VS. Tasc R40 V2.5 Game 1/10

Author: Steve B

Date: 15:08:37 09/27/05

The Historic 10 game match begins to determine the strongest dedicated
computer of all time
all games will be Game/ 30 minutes
of course other owners of the Res will be playing matches worldwide against
other dedicated units and at different time controls

the results of all of the matches will provide a good estimate of the ELO of the
Res-Fruit WCCC 05

in order for the Res to take the title of worlds strongest computer it must go
through the TascR40/30 computers and defeat them

the Tasc R40 was rated 2400 Elo and has remained the worlds strongest dedicated
unit ever released for sale since 1995

the Resurrection contains 5 Engines with Fruit WCCC 05 just added

As Fabien suggested all Engine options for Fruit are the default options

the coin toss went to the R40 for the White pieces in game 1

GAME 1-DRAW
Res Fruit WCCC 05-.5
Tasc R40 v2.5-.5

In This first game the R40 was already out of book by move 4, evidenced by the
bizarre 4.Be3 blocking the king pawn to hold on to the extra pawn
Fruit replies with an equally awkward looking 4..Na6 leaving a rather strange
position after only 4 moves
things soon settle down to normal
