Regards, George George - thanks for this advice and I'm sure you're right on this. However, since this posting I came across this article by Steve Lopez written when DF8 was released: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=1375 It does seem to clearly state that DF8 is stronger than F8 even on single processor as the engine had been significanly improved (not sure though how this compares with Bilbao). I thought Steve Lopez was pretty well respected in this field - any views would be welcome. Regards, Mark
