I bought it (and still have it in the original box) when it first came out back in 84. I couldn't afford it at all then, which made it all the sweeter when it arrived in the mail. At the time it was considered one of the strongest desktops for the money. It ran a David Kittinger program and was considered *very* innovative for the time. It could actually mate a lone king with with a knight and bishop, (don't laugh--most programs couldn't). It would even (occasionally) sacrifice a piece for positional considerations. And to top it all off it had an official rating from the USCF, (this was back in the day when chess players weren't afraid to play computer programs at live chess tournaments). And unless you are a master or strong expert, it should still give you a fun, if not too taxing game. I still occasionally play against it when I'm feeling nostalgic and want to walk down memory lane. have fun, --tom
