He would WANT to sell it because that is the only way he can get a monetary return on his investment of time and effort in creating Zappa. Keeping it stuffed in the closet isn't going to pay for much gas for the car. AC is busy with the rest of his life - I seriously doubt he wants to give that up and promote Zappa full time. Walmart is not likely to be selling Zappa anytime soon. Zappa is not in the same market niche as Chessmaster, clearly. Something like Fruit's commercial venture would be more likely for Zappa. I believe it's always difficult to do a commercial venture with a competitor - even when their goals and your own are somewhat aligned. You just expect to see the bogeyman around every corner. How far can you trust someone who was just competing against you a few weeks or months ago, and whom you know you will be competing against in the future, as well? And of course, we all know what an easy-going character Vincent is, typically! :) The glory of being 2005 WCCC champ will indeed fade, but that doesn't mean Zappa's glory will necessarily fade with it. If AC wants to continue working with it, and can productively do so, we may be at the dawn of the Zappa decade of dominance. Who knows? I'm sure AC will be watching to see how Fruit's commercial methodology works out, and will then look make a determination of his interests in following that, yea or nay. You never know, he may be working on a GUI even as we speak. Dave
