Evolution plays well for an engine with a >serious bug! :-) > >Graham. Yes, it plays well most of the time. I think the bug is that in some positions, it plays _really_ weak moves (blunders). One characteristic of such a position is that the line displayed in the output is only one ply long. There had been such examples posted here, but since the archives are not available, I can't give you one. The problem wasn't rare, I had discovered one such position too while going through one of my games. Christos
